MAURINE'S MAKE-OVER

Daughters  Visit  and  Make-overs

Boy, has this been a busy bee-hive for the past two weeks..

Janette drove down week ago today.

Then she and my sister ( Sandy ) drove to Memphis airport to meet

Deb and Hannah as they flew in from Atlanta.

Wednesday afternoon we started the make-over of my bedroom.

I had ordered a new bedspread and curtains and several Lover's Knot scarves and table covers.. so had things to decorate with.

Janette brought her wallpaper stripper and the fun began.. debnetsteamingpaper015

This is my two daughters ( Deb and Janette) in process of stripping old blue wallpaper off the wall... oh my...what a job

Sandy ( my sister ) sharing in the fun.

This stripping went on until  Thursday morning..

Then we took a break and went to Paragould to Lowe's for more supplies..

Friday night finished painting and partly finished decorating.. Got a new picture not yet hung..  more later.

Well, Saturday morning , son-in-law John mentioned " why don't we put down new tile in kitchen???"

Well I was all for that... and here we go to Lowe's again for tile and stuff for the floor make-over.

Got that down pretty fast with four doing the laying down of tiles and others moving out furniture and refrigerator pulled out....

Sunday morning  Deb & John's family left for Atlanta and  Sandy came up to help put things back together... ( not all there , yet !!)

Soooooooo.....

Janette and Sandy says'..." hey, we got enough paint left over to do the kitchen... so out come the paint cans and rollers, pans, and   here we go again...

Later that afternoon I had a newly painted kitchen walls, new tile floor and cabinet with screen door all in place... oh how happy I am.... I just

ooohed  and ahhhhed and kissed all the new walls and even the floor..

It was so clean and new looking !!kitchenmakeover001

How fun was that to have your girls with you helping. I think that sounded like so much fun - you have a very wonderful family and your make over is just wonderful.
