MUCH GOING ON IN OUR FAMILY NOW !!
TOO MUCH FOR COMFORT !!
SON IN LAW. JOHN, WAS LAYED OFF
FROM CISCO IN ATLANTA.
HAS A TEMP JOB AT COKE IN ATLANTA BUT IT PAYS NO BENEFITS AND IS ONLY TEMPORARY.
HE HAS BEEN OFFERED A PERMANENT JOB IN VIRGINIA.
THAT INVOLVES A MOVE AND THEY NEED TO SELL THEIR HOUSE IN ATALANTA.
SO OUR FAMILY DEFINITLY NEEDS “ BIG TIME” PRAYERS FROM ALL.
MELISSA, IN KENTUCKY, NEEDS A JOB.
SO OUR FAMILY IS KINDA IN STRESS NOW.. IF YOU COULD TAKE A MOMENT AND PRAY FOR US.
WE WOULD DEFINETLY APPRECIATE IT !!

OH !! LOOK WHAT I GOT TODAY !!
OH, I THINK I’M IN SEWING HEAVEN.. BEEN WANTING ONE OF T HESE GADGETS FOR AGES… NOW THAT I HAVE IT…
DO I KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT ???
I also got a book with it for setting sizes. and another book for patterns . How to adjust patterns and make darts, adjust the pattern .
Got some beautiful blue fabric that I want to make a dress/ jacket . Haven’t made many clothes lately , but you know what they say… “ You’re never too old to learn”. so we’ll see !!
oh wont this make up pretty !!
Net & Missy are opening the shoppe today and working on a piece of furniture that Missy has sold.
It looks kinda rainy so don’t know about putting stuff out of shop.
I just made a skirt and jacket last week and even wore it to church.. hadn’t been in long time.. sure felt good to be in church.
was gonna show my skirt/jacket but cant get my picture to come up.
well hey, this is the best Maurine can do for today..

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY !!
JUST TRYING TO CATCH UP .
BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE IVE TALKED TO YA’.
BEEN DOIN’ SOME SEWING SO ILL TRY TO ADD A FEW NEW PICS.
I’M NOT GOOD WITH PICTURES BUT HERE IS A FEW NEW ONES..
HERE’S DAUGHTER # 2
with her machine I bought for her and we’re teaching her how to sew….. ??????
she did real well with pair of shorts and a t-shirt
then she went on to another set..
She did real well, took her machine home and is setting up a sewing room.. scooting John out of part of his office.
here is a fairy doll made for a customer that bought several dolls from me…
a chocolate-chocolate cake Deb made for us while here.
a little too much chocolate for me but very delicious..
she loves to bake.. wants to open a bakery..
I love these bunnies..
they are for sale , as are all my dolls..
This is a bunny family… brother and two sisters.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN MICHIGAN
THAT IS… UNTIL IT STARTED RAINING… OR POURING…
THEN IT WENT BACK TO COOL WEATHER AGAIN !!!
WELL I’m gonna join this
Sewing thingy”
I’ve ordered me 4 yards of
fabric called “ Fingerpaint” and if it is as pretty as the picture… I’m gonna love it.
First , I have to find just the right
pattern for me… no frills, no ruffles, no prissy looking pattern..
You get the picture !!
I ain’t showin’ no pictures of this old lady but when I get the dress made, I May, ( that means I might and I might not) show it.
So be watching for the unveiling.
was looking for a picture of a dress that is “ me” but there ain’t one. !!!
so you” ll just have to wait..
Sad news !!
Deb’s husband ( John ) is in hospital in Georgia.
He started having swelling in legs and then it went up to his body and on up in his face.. went to emergency room and they atmitted him to hospital.
It got real red and clear blisters.
The emergency room attendant
said it looked like some disease
but at hospital they think it is a
reaction from a medication..
It’s affecting his kidneys.. tomorrow a specialist is going to
do a test for the kidneys.
He isn’t hurting or itching as bad now but still not good.
We ask for anyone to pray for
him that they can find out the cause.
so I’ll leave you with that bit of sad news and hope tomorrow will be lots of improvement.!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

NOW ‘N THEN.. GOOD THINGS HAPPEN
once in awile good things happen, just for no reason.
so today, I was getting ready to sew and I get this delivered ups skinny envelope… so I opened it and guess what ????
I get a new credit card..
They had closed my old one cause some jerky place had tried to make a charge.
well, I ain’t havin’ none of that…
so the nice people at visa just gave me a new card..
now, nobody knows my card number so they ain’t gonna be no stuff like that happenin’ agin’ soon.
Well on to better things, like sewin’ some sweet dolls..
course, ya know, I’m a doll maker !!
here’s two of the latest ones..
they are two new annies
one is from Old Annies pattern.
oh my, this is one of my favorites.
there’s a story behind this doll.
See, I bought this pattern some time ago and then I lost it… Ya’ know I got TONS AND TONS of patterns.
I wanted to make this doll and I hunted and hunted and could not find this pattern..
So I was on facebook and I told my pitiful story and I whined and pouted…. so I get this email from Maureen Mills ,
(who made the pattern )
and what do ya’ know.. she says she’s sendin’ me a new pattern, and best of all , she says Maurine it’s free.)
oh my word !! She is the sweetest thing..
so here’s the doll, story and all.
ok here’s the last one for today !!
She has on a black background dress with little colored hearts on it..
Now her apron and bonnet is a
pink with off white flowers on it. Her face is sculptured.
She is a sweetie and I love her too.
I guess that’s enough ramblin’ for today , so I’ll say good night and more later.
