NEW " STUFF" I'M WORKIN' ON

I have so many projects started on and...

got the flu.... oh my achin' legs and feet.....

and today I was informed that I have a water leak and my water bill has over thousand units built up...

OH ME ! OH MY !!

WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS

LITERALLY ...

it's been rainin' here for days.. and no relief in sight..

so I'll just hybernate

till the sun shines out...

in the future..

I'm workin' on several things , so here they are...

These little beauties are in the "work needed" file.

But they will be soooooooo cute when that file is finished..

what to put on them ????

of course, they have to have some milk paint added first..

yeah, I know, I get the " cart before the horse" sometimes.

but you get the picture....

and then if that ain't enuff..

my Granddaughter/great grandaughter

sent me these two burlap bags with some advertisement on them...

and they look so prim that I just ooohed and aaahed

over them... but here's my delima~~~~

(I know, that ain't the way to spell it )

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THEM ??

"STUFF I JUST MADE "

This  is a new bonnet I just made this week.

It is made from  a dark brown calico homespun fabric.

It is sitting on a "bonnet stand" and is lighted by a little pineapple   electric candle. .

♥ I love it. ♥

Next you'll see   a very prim doll  just made this week, too.

   Her name is " Lulabelle"

and she's been grunged and sanded

and  rubbed lightly with

a light Briwax.

See the little "Clarks ONT

100 percent cotton  Thread"

tin.. ( a gift from my Granddaughter and Great-granddaughter )

They know I love anything old and to do with sewing..

Lulabelle's dress  is made from

black/tan  homespun checks.

So you can see I've been chained

to the sewing machine this week..

Gonna  hit it again tomorrow , too !!

Do you know what "frustration" is !!!

Well, I do.... so just ask me..

It's when your " little  grey-cells" are straining themselves to try to

"read and  do"

How's things in your neck o' the woods???

It's been  a good day for a boat ride  with all the rain.

I tell you, I've heard  rain, rain, rain on th' roof alllll day.

Would have been a good day for sewin' but had a sinus headache ... so no sewin' today !!

Have any of you had problems with uploading pictures to your blogs?

I've tried three times to get one on...

so this is my fourth  try ....

no luck !!

and they were such cute little snowmen... all side-by-side with their cute little button mouths..

oh well, maybe next time..

so with no " eye-candy" I'll just say bye for today...

it  is  friday , ISN'T  IT ??

Hey, got my days all mixed up.

just now gettin'  it all together since

my last week of " havin' fun with my family".

Been sewin' and paintin' and just craftin' to my little hearts content.

painted my first cheese box with milk paint and stenciled  it..

I can't say that I'm all that thrilled with the outcome.. but hey! it's a first..

ya'  know  what  this  is ?????

Its been a while since I chatted with ya'

so it's time to " show 'n tell " it all.

well, let's see.. where to start.....

I got two good arms now

so I can sew, sew, sew. !!!

Had my daughter, sister, and a guest

here for a week and boy, did they wear me out !!

You ain't never seen such " shoppin' & eatin' gals !!

We went " flea marketin" one day and then

I made a humongus pot of beef stew and

we'd shop a while and come home for a

bowl o' stew...

But we sho' did have us some fun !!!

One of the gals from Michigan had never seen open cotton before and she gathered a bunch and

at the flea market she bought a bunch of half-pint

jars and she made " cotton in a jar" gifts to take

home to friends.

  well, heck!!

Isn't fall beautiful ??

I love all the colorful leaves at this time of year..

I actually put on a sweater this morning when going to the post office.

Oh and speaking of the post office..

I GOT IT THIS MORNING !!!  YEAH !!!

Yes I did ... I got my  wooden  bowl  rack with a rolling pin on top and I

Got my long bonnet ready too.
